Emma Moss and the Kimberley

Emma Moss decided that the Kimberley region would be the place to complete a gap year on the remote Nerrima Station working as a jillaroo.

Emma Moss decided that the Kimberley region would be the place to complete a gap year on the remote Nerrima Station working as a jillaroo. Nerrima Station is approximately 2 hours from Derby in the dry season.

The young jillaroo’s jobs included mustering, fencing, yard work and maintenance. While living and working, Emma bought a second-hand camera from the cook on the station.

Her love of the beauty of the landscape led her to became an Instagram hit with ‘Life On A Station’. With 14.5k followers, the jillaroo has highlighted peoples lives on cattle stations in the Kimberley. Emma has been featured in a number of publications and news articles across Australia.

Emma has completed her gap year and went on to study Bachelor of Sustainable Agriculture, at the University of Queensland, Gatton. Studying externally and based in Broome.
