The INPEX Australia Solid Pathways Program provides learning and developmental employment opportunities to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals who aspire to work in the energy industry.
The program’s participants will receive on-the-job support and external training for 18 – 24 months, in preparation for potential long-term employment with INPEX Australia in Darwin, Perth and offshore Western Australia’s Kimberley region.
We are seeking expressions of interest from Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander INLEC to join our Offshore Operations team on an 18–24-month contract.
These positions are on a 3/4/3/5 roster and are for WA based candidates only.
Solid Pathways positions are only open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island applicants. We strongly encourage Traditional Owners of the lands we work on to apply.
You will be required to provide a confirmation of Aboriginality letter to support this statement prior to employment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Experienced in the execution of Instrument and Electrical Equipment maintenance including fault finding and troubleshooting of Instrument and Electrical Equipment.
- Skilled practitioner in the maintenance of the following equipment:
- ICSS / DCS Systems
- Turbine Control Systems
- HV Electrical Generation and Switching
- Vibration Monitoring Systems
- General Instrumentation
- Electrical Switchboards and Distribution
- Proactive in participation of the PMS process for timely development and deliverable content
- Perform Emergency Response team responsibilities in emergency situations and drills
- Show initiative and contributes creative ideas and constructive advice to solve operational and maintenance problems and increase efficiency or unit reliability. Highlight issues and solutions to responsible Supervisors /Engineers
Key qualifications, skills and experience required:
- Instrument Trade Certificate
- Electrical Trade Certificate
- Electrical A Class license (any Australian State, or International with local endorsement)
- Extensive experience as an Instrument and Electrical Maintainer in an Operational environment.
- Desirable to have Offshore Platform or Floating Semi-submersible Production Facilities experience.
