About the Position:

The Rangers are responsible for providing a coordinated, efficient and quality community safety service to Residents, Ratepayers and Visitors to the Shire and to ensure that equitable and transparent enforcement is carried out, making the Shire a cleaner, safer and more pleasant place in which to live and work.

The Shire is invested in the career development and training of our Ranger team. To facilitate career progression and future planning within the team, the Shire is looking for motivated, community-minded, reliable individuals to join the Ranger team as an Assistant, with development and training provided by the Shire both formally and on the job to obtain full Ranger qualifications.

About You:

An Assistant Ranger is someone who has a passion for community engagement and safety, willing to learn and highly motivated. Experience in a similar or related field (ie animal management, community services) will be highly regarded but not necessary. The successful candidate will be provided relevant formal training and education, subject to study assistance agreement, with hands on learning experience and mentoring.
