Renal Services Manager

As the Renal Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the satellite dialysis service for 56 patients and the support services teams for prevention and management of chronic kidney disease (CKD).

You will assume responsibility for the development, management, and implementation of strategic directions for Broome Renal Health Centre and Kimberley Renal Services (KRS) in collaboration with the KRS Leadership team.

In addition to overseeing the clinical and operational performance of the Broome Renal Health Centre, the Renal Services Manager meets contractual obligations, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, and providing comprehensive reporting. Your oversight will extend to the clinical and operational performance of the Broome Renal Health Centre, with a primary focus on delivering safe and high-quality care to our patients.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring and reviewing the performance of the Renal Health Centre and KRS, while offering progress updates to the KRS Leadership Group.
  • Providing direct leadership, coordination, and representation for Kimberley Renal Services in collaboration with the KRS Leadership Management Team.
  • By ensuring KRS has a core direction with the aim “To provide access to renal services in the Kimberley region”.
  • Assisting in the development of Renal services throughout the region as required.
  • Ensuring all KRS staff are well-informed of the strategic plan and their individual roles in achieving positive outcomes.

In your capacity as a leader, you will oversee a diverse team consisting of Aboriginal Health Practitioners, nurses, preventative care support staff, Aboriginal Care Coordinators, administration assistant, patient care assistants, and other support personnel. You will lead and develop a team of passionate and caring people that supports each other wherever possible to ensure the most successful treatment and care for their patients. Being part of this supportive environment, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate closely with the broader network of RSMs.
