Jalygurr-Guwan Aboriginal Corporation has been providing Long Day Care, Out of School Hours Care and Regional Children’s Service Mobile Playgroup for over 30 years in Broome. We are committed to delivering high quality early childhood education that enhances the cultural, physical, social, emotional, language and learning development of the children utilising our services. We offer above the award wage and the ability to salary sacrifice to our permanent staff.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and reliable person to join our team as our cleaner; you will work for 3-4 hours daily from 4.30 pm to 19.30 pm.

The Role

The cleaner is responsible for cleaning our wonderful Centre and ensuring that it is thoroughly cleaned on a daily basis and is presentable for each day.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Able to work unsupervised and is a trustworthy individual.
• Ensure that all rooms and bathrooms including the staff room are vacuumed and mopped daily.
• Ensure that all bins are taken out and new bin liners added.
• Ensure all windows and doors are cleaned.
• Benches and bench tops are wiped daily.
• Fans are to be cleaned every two weeks.
• Ensuring the whole Centre is cleaned to Jalygurr’s standards each day.

These are just a few of the daily requirements of the position.

Who you are

• Must possess a Working with Children Check
• Must possess a National Police clearance
• Flexible with your work conditions and duties
• Ability to perform unsupervised
• A multi-tasker that loves a challenge
• Previous experience in cleaning.
• Must be in the Local area of Broome
