The Broome Community Resource Centre (Broome CRC) is a friendly local community centre that is part of the not-for-profit WA Community Resource Network.

Our mission is to provide accessible, innovative and inclusive services and programs that support social, business and economic development. The centre is equipped with high tech facilities and uses technology and resources to assist community groups, small business and individuals of all ages achieve their personal and business goals.

The Position

Due to retirement of the incumbent, we’re now seeking our next centre coordinator. This is a pivotal role managing all aspects of Broome CRC, with a great variety of daily duties and opportunities for contributing to Broome CRC and the community through our programs and services.

The Coordinator in consultation with the Board of Broome CRC will:

  • Work to ensure that the most appropriate and effective services are provided to the community, aligned to Broome CRC’s purpose, strategic plan and service contracts, including service offerings in technology, education, training, communication, information and business.
  • Provide the community of Broome with access to professional, confidential and efficient services and facilities that are available through the use of Broome CRC.
  • Successfully implement agreed programs and initiatives of Broome CRC.
  • Be responsible for smooth operation of day-to-day processes of Broome CRC.
  • Lead the staff of Broome CRC in the provision of community service and contract delivery.
  • Work with the Management Committee on governance and the strategic direction of Broome CRC.

Full-time/38 hours per week with option for part-time/30.4 hours per week.
Pay rates are indicative – Award pay tables will be updated in July.

About You

The preferred applicant will be a dynamic leader with drive and motivation to ensure existing services continue to be delivered to the highest standards. You’ll also have the ambition to shape the centre’s future by identifying and implementing new initiatives.

You’ll have strong customer service, management and technology skills, and be able to communicate effectively with people from all backgrounds.
