Crusher Fitter – FIFO

The Company

Our client is a Heavy Equipment Maintenance and Mine Services company that has been operating for over 5 years in the Western Australian mining sector. Due to substantial growth, our client is seeking an experienced Crusher Fitter to join their site team to work on a 2 & 1 roster, FIFO ex Perth.

The Roster

• 2 weeks on / 1 week off – days only
• FIFO from Perth
• Interstate candidates encouraged – flights from Capital City to Capital City will be covered
• Location: Kimberley, WA

The Role

Working in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia, the Crusher Fitter will be responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance on large scale plant machinery & equipment, maintaining and repairing mobile crushing and screening equipment and attending to breakdowns.

The Candidate

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and reliable Mechanical Fitter/Crusher Fitter with at least 5 years of experience on Mobile Crushing Equipment.

• Trade Qualification (trade upgrades considered, must be an Australian Recognised Trade Qualification
• Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
• Heavy Diesel Fitter / Mechanic
• Heavy Duty Fitter
• Mechanical Fitter (Must Possess Plant & Diesel Experience)
• Mobile Crusher Fitter

Essential Criteria

• Possess a Valid Australian C Class Drivers Licence
• Recent experience working on crushing equipment
• Seeking ongoing work
• Experience in working in high temperature and isolated environments
• Is physically fit and able to carry out physical tasks regularly
• Ability to pass ongoing Drug & Alcohol Screens
• Ability to pass Pre-Employment Medical
• Full Working Rights in Australia

Additional Criteria

• Is a must 5 years’ experience working on mobile crushers on a FIFO basis
• Has a strong work history where you have a proven track record of staying at FIFO jobs & not jumping ship for couple of dollars more per hour
• Must take pride in maintaining a high standard of housekeeping within their work area
• Have a strong work ethic with a positive attitude where you are considered very reliable and considered by others as a hard worker
• Safety conscious with the ability to work unsupervised
• Must be able to complete Company & Client Inductions

Remuneration

This role is a permanent position, employed on a casual basis where a successful candidate has the potential to be signed onto our client’s books as a full time / permanent employee. Depending on experience the pay rates will be between:

• Casual Pay Rate: $65.00 to $75.00 Per Hour (Flat)
• + Super on all working hours
