Working for Paspaley you would be expected to reside in Broome, Australia and work on a full time basis; on a cycle of 2 weeks on, 1 week off.

There are different rosters, one requiring living on a mother ship for two weeks, and another is a split roster of 1 week on mother ship 1 week working from Broome each day and a two week land based roster working from Broome everyday.
We seek people in excellent health and fitness, with a good work ethic and who are committed to making a career in the pearling industry to register their interest in the following opportunities:

Deckhand daily responsibilities:

• Removal of marine growth from pearl shell
• Husbandry of the shell and general shell care
• Maintenance of the associated infrastructure

What you need to succeed:

• Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or have confirmed work rights in Australia including Working Holiday Makers
• Consistent working history in a manual labour, marine or agricultural environment
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical, fitness test and drug and alcohol screen
• National police clearance or ability to obtain
• Comfortable working in remote areas and live in close quarters
• Coxswains or relevant tickets highly desirable
