Dental Assistant

Pearly Whites Dental is a private dental practice in beautiful Broome, we are passionate about having the patient happy and relaxed whilst providing the best dental care possible. We value having the best cutting edge technology and having a happy, fun and peaceful team atmosphere.

We are currently looking for a full time dental assistant to join our team starting as soon as possible. Ideally we are looking for an experienced dental assistant, however we are open to candidates with no dental experience as we will provide a supportive training program for the right person.

Our team is friendly and caring and committed to doing our best for our patients. Our work environment is fun, energetic and supportive.

The job is to assist either our Oral Health Therapist or Dentist.

Duties…

• Generating patient correspondence and entering recalls in to the system
• Providing chairside assistance to the Oral Health Therapist/Dentist so that procedures run smoothly, efficiently and comfortably for the patient.
• You help to create a relaxing and highly professional experience for the patient and you know the right thing to say to put a nervous patient at ease.
• Clean and sterilize the instruments prior to and after treatment
• Clean the surgery and treatment room in accordance with the practice’s policies and procedures, including decontamination procedures for infection control
• Assist in maintaining stock levels and ordering stock

• Highly professional, with a polished image and good personal presentation
• An excellent communicator – both written and oral – with strong attention to detail
• Extremely organised, with the ability to prioritise busy workloads and manage multiple demands within required timeframes
• Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic
• Able to assist reception with billing and clinical enquiries on an adhoc basis
• Must have full rights to work in Australia and be willing to commit to an ongoing contract
