We are seeking an enthusiastic art lover to join our team as a Full-Time Gallery Sales assistant.
This is a permanent full time position working Tuesday – Saturdays including exhibition openings. Availability during school holidays in dry season is essential. The full time position will commence in the start of 2025 with full time hours paid training beginning immediately to the right candidate for the duration of this year in preparation for the permanent role.
We are looking for someone who is sales driven, interested in pursuing a career in contemporary indigenous art and willing to commit long term to our unique and rewarding space. As a world renowned Art Gallery we have an extensive database requiring some computing skills. Studio practice is also desirable but not essential as we often have artist painting in our artist studio . As a seasonal town we require availability for the duration of dry season, and offer 6 weeks paid leave over the wet season period.
We are a grass roots, small family owned business, and oversee all the operations from our bungalow stockroom. The eligible candidate will have the opportunity to learn sale skills, learn about indigenous art from across Australia, stretching and packing, cataloguing, studio practice, freight and so much more!
