About the role
We currently have an excellent opportunity available for a part time permanent General Hand at our Broome Aboriginal Short Stay Accommodation Service offering 60 hours a fortnight. You will need to be flexible to work morning and afternoon/evening shifts, weekends and public holidays.
In this role you will contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, taking pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene and comfort in all common areas and facilities of the accommodation service. You will work collaboratively with the team to ensure any potential issues are highlighted and rectified, and strive for continuous improvement in all activities you undertake to ensure a quality of service at all times.
About you
You’ll have an eye for detail, be self driven and take pride in providing a high standard of customer service in your work whilst organising your time effectively to meet your responsibilities.
The following will also see you to success:
- Proven experience in a similar role such as in commercial, industrial, or domestic cleaning
- Ability to work with and communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Effective time management skills and the ability to use your initiative
- A flexible mindset and approach to your work
- COVID and Influenza vaccinations are preferred but not required
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
