Prendiville Group owns and operates 20 iconic tourism, hospitality, and entertainment facilities across two states in Australia. We have an opportunity for a focused and forward-thinking General Manager to represent Prendiville Group in Broome.
The renowned Mangrove Hotel is a high achieving and award winning, market leading 60 room and suite hotel. This industry leading 60-room property offers breathtaking views of Roebuck Bay and Broome’s best restaurant, Johnny Sausage (Trip Advisor 2024).
The role of General Manager requires a highly organised, energetic and experienced hotel operator who can lead an experienced team from the front whilst maintaining a strategic business focus. An emphasis on offering quality service and products is a must to maintain the hotels high-profile community and visitor relevance.
To succeed in this role and achieve a successful business environment you will need a full understanding of multi-faceted hotel operations, strong leadership that fosters a cohesive team and a productive workplace and a strong leadership emphasis on local community involvement by direct active support and engagement.
Candidate profile:
- Lead and inspire a cohesive team, maintaining a strategic focus on business growth.
- Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including accommodation, restaurant, functions, and bar.
- A love of mentorship, staff development and being the champion of company culture.
- Foster strong community connections through active engagement and support.
- Innovative in food and beverage, events, and brand activations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience demonstrating high level success in General Management within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership with an owner/operator mindset.
- Expertise in hotel management, marketing, accounting, and strategic planning.
- Commitment to community involvement and support.
- Thorough understanding and competency in Corporate and Tourism sales.
