About the position:

This position offers the opportunity to join a dedicated team and utilise your diverse skills working on a variety of equipment.

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Heavy Diesel Mechanic is an integral part of KRSP’s operational team who contributes to our success by ensuring the reliable availability of KRSP’s fleet of mobile equipment.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Complete scheduled servicing of trucks, earthmoving equipment, and mobile plant
  • Undertake preventative maintenance activities
  • Participate in fault finding and failure diagnosis as required
  • Attend to emergency breakdown repairs
  • Recommend initiatives to enhance efficiency and plant reliability
  • Complete necessary electronic and manual documentation

About you:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated heavy diesel mechanic who has a proven track record in a similar position Your ability to demonstrate a high work ethic and safe work practices together with your positive mindset in dealing with work and people will be highly regarded.

To be successful in this role you require:

  • HD trade qualification
  • Thorough knowledge of trucks, earthmoving and mobile plant mechanics and technologies
  • Advanced fault finding and diagnostic ability
  • Current MR driver’s license – preferred but not essential


This is a permanent, residential role based at our Broome workshop. Local Kimberley residents are encouraged to apply as are candidates who would consider relocating to the Broome region.


This is a permanent full-time position. A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate.
