Our Client is a well-known Education provider who pride themselves on a collaborative and hard-working team culture. This position is a pivotal role responsible to assist with the upkeep and presentation of facilities in terms of minor maintenance and to coordinate other maintenance and building projects as required.
Key Accountabilities are as follows:
- Assist with maintenance repair activities to ensure they meet business requirements and are conducted in an efficient, effective, safe, timely and cost effective manner
- Plan, perform and support the development of pre-programmed preventative maintenance for buildings, assets and electrical networks
- Schedule, monitor and coordinate the use of external service providers and contractors and monitor the provision of specialised services to meet the terms and conditions of Service Agreements
- Undertake contractor OHS audits
- Assist with the set-up, set-down and rearrangement of all venues (indoor and outdoor)
- Assist with packing and unpacking of fleet vehicles when required
- Coordinate waste management products and services including managing waste collections as needed
- Coordinate and maintain storage facilities and assist with furniture relocations
To be considered for this position you will have completed a Cert IV in a relevant trade and have extensive similar experience in a general maintenance position. A C-Class Drivers License with no restrictions is needed and note that a fitness-for-work may be required prior to appointment.
Importantly, you will have the ability to liaise professionally with key stakeholders (both internal and external) and members of the public. You will have the ability to use MS Office suite and have an understanding of standard administrative processes.
This is a temporary contract position available for immediate commencement and the anticipated length of assignment will be until Feb/March 2025. There is a possibility of extension and/or a permanent position after this time.
Standard hours of work are 7:00am to 3:00pm with a 30 mins lunch break. Flexibility for overtime and the odd weekend would be preferable.
A guide on hourly rate for the position is $40.00 – $45.00 + Super.
