Jalygurr-Guwan Aboriginal Corporation has been providing Long Day Care Service, Out of School Hours Care Service and Regional Children’s Service Mobile Playgroup for over 30 years in Broome. We are committed to delivering high quality early childhood education that enhances the cultural, physical, social, emotional, language and learning development of the children utilising our services.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and reliable person to join us as our Mobile Playgroup Coordinator.

The Role

As a Mobile Playgroup Leader, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to create an inviting and friendly experience for our families who attend playgroup.

Mobile Playgroup Leader are responsible for however not limited to the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Work under the guidance of the Service Manager to deliver high quality programs
  • Engage with families and other community groups and assist with linking them to appropriate services with their local area
  • Ensure that programs are in accordance with EYLF
  • Ensure that all necessary Observations, daily planning and activities are up to date.
  • Work outside and in local locations to deliver playgroup
  • Be familiar with the Early Years Leaning Framework
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required

  • Time management skills are necessary
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not necessary
  • Possess or able to obtain National Police Clearance, WA Working with Children Card, Driver’s licence, Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Certificate III level early childhood qualification or prepared to undertake appropriate training/study to ascertain Cert III level in early childhood qualifications (Desirable training can be provided)
