A typical day in the role may look like…
- A real plus point and what our clinicians love most – outreach trips to Derby, Bidyadanga and Fitzroy to provide face-to-face services to our regional participants. This includes assisting with diagnosis assessments (a great learning opportunity).
- Provide face-to-face (homes, schools, community centres) or Telehealth services to our participants from our Broome office.
- Regular multidisciplinary meetings with other Patches’ disciplines to optimise holistic care and multidisciplinary goal setting for participants.
- Complete relevant non-face-to-face work, including writing progress notes, resource preparation and report writing.
- Support from OT colleagues that provide experience in remote service, technology prescription, paediatric home modifications, mealtime support, relational therapy, behaviour support, and sensory processing approaches
- Patches prioritises evidence-based practice and a parent-child relational model.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience and knowledge of the disability sector, particularly working within the NDIS.
- Experience working with a paediatric and/or youth background, including practical knowledge of current developmental assessments, tools, and intervention.
- Relevant professional registration
- National Police Clearance
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Australian Driver’s License
- Proof of Work rights (Australian Passport/ Citizenship certificate, or a Valid Visa)
