About the Position:
We are looking for a dynamic and suitably experienced Place Activation & Engagement Officer to facilitate and deliver community development events and initiatives in line with the Shire of Broome Strategic Community Plan.
The Place Activation & Engagement Officer will be responsible for delivery of the Shire’s events and place activation plans.

Permanent part-time position, 19 hours a week (0.5 FTE) and will require weekend and evening work. Hours of work can be negotiable for the right applicant.
About You:
Our ideal candidate will:
- Proven experience in event management: Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and execute events effectively.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or training: Qualifications and/or extensive experience in a relevant discipline.
- Exceptional organisational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with precision and attention to detail.
- Strong relationship-building skills: Capable of fostering and maintaining effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Flexibility with working hours: Willingness to work outside of regular hours, including weekends, to ensure successful event delivery.
