About the role:
VTS has been awarded the SEE (Skills for Education and Employment) contract and we are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Trainer to join our dedicated team in the Pilbara Region.
SEE Trainers deliver language, literacy and numeracy skills through engaging students in a range of accredited and non-accredited training programs.
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Trainer and Assessor who possesses exceptional engagement skills and embodies the passion for helping others. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for training and assessing students in various areas throughout the Pilbara Region, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their lives and future employment opportunities. This role requires someone who is passionate about helping others succeed and possesses strong persuasive and leadership qualities.
The purpose of this role is to help our business run at a maximum efficiency and manage growth opportunities, while continuing to deliver the exceptional standards we are well known for.
It will see you, day to day:
- Engaging with the local community to continue our growth in the area, with the successful applicant being a key representative in that area.
- Deliver engaging group-based training which results in increased employability skills, resilience and motivation for our participants to seek, find and keep a job
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and knowledge retention through flexible facilitation
- Approach training by demonstrating genuine care and empathy toward students, fostering a supportive, friendly and encouraging atmosphere.
- Conduct fair and comprehensive assessments to evaluate student competencies and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide constructive feedback on strengths and areas needing development, guiding students toward achieving their potential.
- Maintain accurate records of student assessments and performance outcomes.
- Utilise persuasive techniques to engage, retain and inspire students to reach their full potential.
- Working autonomously with focus on the work to be done while adjusting the plan as needed to achieve the targeted outcome.

What you must have to apply for this role:
- Relevant training qualifications or the willingness to undertake
- The ability to work throughout the Kimberley Region
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal direct supervision
- Proven experience in working with people from a broad range of backgrounds including young people and first nations people
- Experience of community/stakeholder engagement
- Ability to engage, energise and build rapport with students
- A current Australian driver’s licence
- Working with Childrens Check or ability to obtain
- National Police Clearance
- COVID-19 vaccination certificate
