About this Job

Senior Property Manager

About Our Business

Our Ray White office has created an environment that supports its staff, encourages growth and training, offers opportunities for further development, and is a genuinely pleasant place to work.  We recognise that Property Management can sometimes be a thankless task, that’s why we proactively make it our job to show our staff that they are appreciated, and if processes need adjusting to make yours and the customer’s experience smoother, we make it happen. A few examples of this are:

  • Strongly encouraging our staff to stick to their work hours as much as possible, and if they are unable to, offering support to get back on track.
  • Offering bonuses and incentives for well-run portfolios.
  • 3 Monthly Staff Development Sessions.

We have built an incredible and considered Property Management team, managing a range of portfolios in the Kimberley and Pilbara.  We are now seeking a registered, Senior Property Manager to join the team.

We would like the right person to share our company mission statement – “To exceed the expectations of our clients by providing a highly personalised, at all times reliable service, that always leads to a positive result.”

Job Role & Responsibilities

As a Senior Property Manager you will be responsible for management of a small portfolio of up to 70 residential rental properties in Broome, and the training/induction of our Property Management Trainees and Assistants in our Broome, Derby and Port Hedland offices.

Management of the portfolio will include monitoring arrears, rent reviews, management and lease agreement renewals, conducting property inspections, leasing vacant properties and ensuring maintenance is dealt with in a timely manner. You will be supported by a dedicated Trust Accountant for any financial queries and bill management, and collaborate with a remote team of Property Managers based in our Subiaco office.

As the Trainer for our new Property Management Trainees and Assistants, your duties will include monthly travel to our Derby and Port Hedland offices, to facilitate new team member inductions, demonstrations of inspections, use of company software, and collaboration with our Remote Property Managers in teaching general Property Management Rules and Regulations.

We understand that Property Management goes above managing properties, it’s promoting understanding and facilitating communication. We get to know our tenants and landlords, understand their needs and interests, and use creative problem-solving to enable all parties to reach an agreement.

You will be a valued team member managing a small portfolio of properties and mentoring junior team members as they begin their Property Management careers. Importantly, you will also be supported by our full-time PM Team Leader.

Our processes and systems that we use day-to-day allow us to run a smooth ship. We have procedures in place that encourage support and create a cohesive remote work setup. In saying that, we’re continually looking for ways to improve behind the scenes and are open to feedback from every member of our team.

Skills & Experience

As an experienced Senior Property Manager you will have sound knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act, strong time management skills, and a passion for passing on your knowledge and skills to our newest industry members.  The most important attributes we look for in a new member of staff are:

  • An attitude that allows for change and further personal & professional development.
  • A thorough understanding of how to provide great client and customer service.
  • A positive person who will embrace our carefully cultivated office culture.

Job Benefits & Perks

Our office exudes a high-performance supportive culture where we offer our staff the opportunity to grow and develop in their role, and should they wish to diversify within the office we encourage that as much as possible. Our staff have regular Business Development Sessions to discuss how the role is going and offer support in the form of additional training in the areas where you want to grow. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) give our staff the opportunity to earn bonuses every month. In our fast-paced industry, our office prides itself on offering a personalised service to our clients – we understand that the happier our staff, the better service they will provide. We firmly believe that this mentality relies upon the way we manage our staff.
