The Role 

This role based in Broome Western Australia, centres around providing tour coordinating and presentation, tour desk partners & luxury pearl sales.

As the primary contact, with our tour partners, you will have the ability and flair for upscale sales and exceptional communication skills. The Tour Co-ordinator ensures the guest experience is efficient & attentive. A genuine desire to go the extra mile as you respond to guests’ needs.

Encouraged to act and think independently, you will feel comfortable and confident to undertake your duties autonomously whilst remaining actively engaged in a solution-focused, fun team environment.

Responsibilities 

  • Deliver pearl appreciation and pearl grading tours (all training Inhouse),
  • Create and grow new experience ideas within the exhibition/tour space,
  • Managing our Tour Bookings Desk,
  • Engaging with Broome tour desks,
  • Reservation assistance for our Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm accommodation & tours,
  • Luxury jewellery sales. Administrative tasks as directed by the Sales Manager, and
  • Seek and analyse customer feedback and provide strategic direction to continuously improve our service and experience.

 

 Skills

  • Tour Coordination experience, preferably within the tourism industry,
  • Well-developed sales skills,
  • Strong sense of responsibility and a professional presentation,
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills,
  • Ability to resolve issues independently and in a timely and accurate manner,
  • Solid knowledge and experience using Outlook, Excel & Word,
  • Previous knowledge in Fare Harbor or similar,
  • RMS & CRM or similar,
  • Be willing and able to work weekends / public holidays,
  • Valid driver’s license, and
  • Ability to obtain police clearance.

 

Job Type: Permanent, Part Time
Location: Pearls of Australia / Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm Broome Showroom, Chinatown
Reporting to: Broome Sales Manager

For this role, we are open to discussing flexibility around days and start / finish times. Ideally, this role is 5 days a week (including some weekends) with ½ day shifts that could be worked around school hours for parents. It is a year-round role and would be a key part of our core staff in the Showroom.
