About Adventure Wild

Adventure Wild Kimberley Tours are seeking an exceptional, long-term couple to work together as Tour Guides, leading quality guided camping tours of the Kimberley region, Western Australia.

Our signature tour is a 12 day, all-inclusive safari travelling throughout the remote Kimberley.  We travel from Broome along the Gibb River Road exploring gorges including Tunnel Creek, Windjana Gorge, Bell Gorge, Mt Barnett Station, Manning Falls, Galvan’s Gorge and El Questro Station to Kununurra.  We continue to Purnululu National Park (Bungle Ranges) and along the Great Northern Highway via Halls Creek to Fitzroy Crossing and our exclusive Adventure Wild campsite on a working cattle station prior to returning to Broome.

With a maximum of 16 guests and 2 guides on each tour, we offer exceptional safety and service.  Our existing guides are mature couples working together with unique compatibility and team work.  Locally owned and operated from Broome, you will join a small team of experienced, talented and professional people, and work directly with the owners.

We camp at established campgrounds with toilet and shower facilities.  We offer permanent campsites where our tents are erect and awaiting guest arrival at all campsites, excluding National Parks.  Our guests sleep in swags with all bedding and equipment provided and we have three 2-night and one 3-night stay.

As a Tour Guide for Adventure Wild Kimberley Tours you are an integral part of our business and will be responsible for creating outstanding travel experiences for our guests.  It is essential that you have exceptional ‘people skills’, enjoy being with a diverse variety of guests and can manage small groups (16) of people with  diverse personalities and life experiences.  The work is constant with 6-9 tours, often back to back between May and September each year.

Each tour is of 12 days duration with 3 nights, 2 days preparation between tours.  The preparation days are not ‘days off’ and the roster is rolling back to back tours.  We require strong work ethics and commitment.  The hours are long and duties continuous.  Guides must be fully available for the period mid-April to the end of September 2024, or part thereof in consultation with management.

Applicants should ideally have experience in guiding, be capable of cooking for 18 people and have problem solving abilities.  Your skill set and abilities can be combined as a couple ie A can cook whilst B has mechanical knowledge, though both of you will need to be competent driving a 4WD truck, towing and reversing a trailer, food handling and have first aid skills.  Couples who are prepared to invest time and energy to learn new skills, have maturity, life experience and a genuine enjoyment of people are invited to apply.  Training to prepare for this position and ongoing support is provided.
