About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Supervisor to join the team in our Broome Workshop.

The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the workshop, managing a team of up to 5 tradespeople to provide regular servicing and maintenance of KRSP vehicles, plant and equipment.

The Workshop Supervisor is a crucial role and will assist in making a significant impact on the day to day lives of members of communities serviced by KRSP.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Managing and coordinating repairs and maintenance to a large fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment
  • On occasion undertaking mechanical works to vehicles, plant and equipment as required
  • Day to day operations of the workshop, including stock and parts ordering
  • Management, technical advice and supervision of workshop staff
  • Training and support of apprentices
  • Occasional site / field support (as required)
  • Ensuring all safety regulations and procedures are up to date, and supported by the workshop team

Location
This is a permanent, residential role based at our Broome office. Local residents or candidates willing to consider relocating to Broome are encouraged to apply.

What you will need
An ability to demonstrate a high work ethic, integrity, and safe work practices together with a positive mindset.

Essential criteria: 

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills \
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience leading a team and managing a workshop
  • Relevant mechanical trade qualification
  • Well-developed communication and time management skills
  • White Card
  • Current C class driver’s licence
  • National Police Clearance
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia

Desirable criteria: 

  • Experience with a variety of plant, vehicles (heavy and light) and civil earth moving equipment
  • Light rigid driver’s licence
  • First aid qualification
