Accessibility features

The accessibility features currently available include:

  • Increasing or decreasing the text size (via the users’ browser)
  • ‘Skip to’ links with a logical tab order to navigate using assistive technologies
  • Printer-friendly content
  • Interactive controls are keyboard focusable and indicate their purpose/state.
  • The user’s focus is directed to new content added to the page and users focus is not accidentally trapped in a region.
  • Custom interactive controls have appropriate ARIA roles and associated labels, provided by aria-label.
  • DOM order matches the visual order, improving navigation for assistive technology.
  • Offscreen content is hidden from assistive technology.
  • HTML5 landmark elements are used to improve navigation.
