The Australian Defence Force is offering a 12 month gap year option with the Navy, Army or Air Force. The ADF gap year allows 18 to 24 year olds to travel within Australia learning skills and gaining experience while getting paid.
The ADF gap year has the added benefits of free health and medical care, the opportunity for domestic travel, gaining a high level of work experience, meeting new people and offers a good salary package.
If you have completed year 12 and studied science, technology, engineering or maths subjects, and/or have a high ATAR you can apply for a ADF gap year job at the Defence force website.
