About the role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/all-round trade to join our growing team at Redrock maintenance located throughout the Kimberley region, Western Australia. This role would suit self-employed individual with own tools and be responsible for providing high-quality carpentry, property maintenance services to our residential and commercial clients in town and remote communities in East and West Kimberley. Would suit a FIFO carpenter.

Key responsibilities

• Undertaking a variety of carpentry tasks, including lock changes, hanging doors, finishing, patching and installing cabinets and other woodwork
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and technical specifications to ensure accurate project execution
• Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on existing structures and furniture
• Collaborating with clients, project managers, and other tradespeople to ensure successful project completion
• Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations
• Providing mentorship and on-the-job training to junior members of the team

About you

• Proven experience as a Carpenter, with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the trades and services industry
• Driving licence
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot and find creative solutions
• Commitment to safety and a strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues
• Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification desirable but not needed for right candidate
