The Continental Hotel has a strong reputation for delivering an excellent, creative and consistent food offering. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced casual Demi Chef to join our busy food preparation team.

As a Demi Chef in the Hotel’s kitchen brigade you’ll be responsible for assisting in the effective operation of the Kitchen and working in a team to provide quality and a high level of service to guests while adhering to Kitchen policies and procedures.


  • A relevant trade qualification.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a fast paced, high-volume venue.
  • Knowledge of a range of different cuisines and cooking styles.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • A strong knowledge and experience of WH&S, food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Flexibility when it comes to rostering to work across a range of shifts including days, nights, split shifts and weekends, to be present in peak trading times.
