About the role:

To support our growth, we are seeking General Hand (AMO) with relevant industry experience to join our Broome base. Reporting to the Senior Base Engineer or delegate, you will be responsible for providing support to the AMO to ensure maximum efficiency of the department’s daily operations.

 

Key Duties and responsibilities of the role include:

Responsible for maintaining the hangar in a clean and orderly condition, including floor cleaning, equipment storage and general upkeep and presentation of the hangar and surrounds
Provide logistical support as required, including pick up and drop off of personnel, freight and supplies
Provide support to maintain aircraft to a high-quality presentation, including but not limited to washing, interior cleaning and polishing
Safe and responsible operation of company equipment, assets and vehicles
Adhere to company tool control procedures
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the Safety Management System and Civil Aviation Regulations
Other duties as directed by the Senior Base Engineer or delegate

To be successful in this role:

Mechanical aptitude is preferred
Be able to work cooperatively as part of a professional and close-knit team.
Possess a keen eye for detail
The physical ability to undertake duties including lifting heavy items and standing for long periods in hot and humid conditions
Hold a current “C” class motor vehicle driver’s licence
Ability to obtain and maintain Forklift licence
Ability to obtain and maintain ASIC
