About the Opportunity

KAMS is seeking a Learning and Development Coordinator to join their team on a full-time basis in Broome, WA.

Reporting to the Executive Manager Workforce, you will lead the design, development and implementation of the KAMS Learning and Development Plan, which is inclusive of all employees across KAMS. This includes the ongoing development, implementation and tracking of staff skills, knowledge and development for career pathing and upskilling, as well as education packages for positions in traineeships.

Core duties:

  • Review current training approaches and materials across the business and provide recommendations for content and delivery improvement/optimization;
  • Review and improve performance management processes together with HR advisors;
  • Collaborate with the workforce team on general training requirements including support training for managers and induction training for new starters;
  • After the annual appraisal process collate all of the training and include it in needs analysis results;
  • Design and deliver online evaluation frameworks for all KAMS training; and
  • Deliver on the key initiatives in the Aboriginal Workforce Plan.

This is a newly created role, and as such, you will have a huge amount of freedom to develop a learning and development program that is highly effective. KAMS teams are located all across the Kimberly, so you will have the opportunity in this role to travel periodically and visit various teams throughout the region to deliver effective learning and development.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a learning and development role. Experience in an Aboriginal and/or health organisation would be ideal, but your previous industry is far less important than your learning management experience and your enthusiasm.

A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Learning and Development will be highly regarded, however is not essential.

Importantly, you will be passionate about organisational development with a strong ability to establish credibility, and articulate confidently when dealing with a variety of internal stakeholders.

You will have high-level organisational skills, with natural agility and resilience that will allow you to navigate internal changes.

Please note: In addition to the above skills and experience, the successful candidate will require a Current “C” class manual drivers licence, and either hold or be willing to obtain a National Police Clearance clearance prior to commencement. About the Benefits

Your dedication will be rewarded with an attractive base salary $101,989 per annum pro rata plus a range of benefits:

  • District allowance $2,920 p.a.;
