Reintegration Support Worker (Broome)

Centacare Kimberley Limited is recruiting for a full-time Support Worker to provide Reintegration Services to people referred to our program from prisons located across the Kimberley region..

This is an exciting role that would suit someone motivated to provide quality services to local people; and has the skills to deliver structured case managed support.

Centacare Kimberley Limited is a growing Aboriginal Community Controlled Organization with a strong local workforce. We offer an attractive salary, 5 weeks annual leave, 13 days of personal leave, an accommodation allowance, access to a range of salary sacrificing benefits, and 11.5% Superannuation.

The hours of employment are 38 hours per week Monday to Friday; though at times this role will include the need to work on a weekend or public holiday, and you will be required to undertake remote travel across the Kimberley region

  • Knowledge and understanding of the social, emotional and economic issues facing people living in the Kimberley region.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and the impacts that colonization and dispossession has had on Aboriginal community’s and individuals in the Kimberley.
  • Effective communication skills, strong engagement skills and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Experience with delivering structured case managed support in a social services context.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • A current ‘National Police Check Clearance.’ (less than 3 months old)
  • A current and valid ‘Working with Children’ card
  • A current and unrestricted Western Australian motor vehicle Driver’s license.
  • Must be Covid-19 vaccinated.
  • Capacity to secure Security Clearance from the Department of Justice to work within a prison environment.


  • Accredited 4×4 training
  • Fatigue Management Training
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • A Certificate 4, Diploma or a Degree in Social Work, Community Services or related field.
