About the opportunity 

As our Retail Postage Sorter, you’ll play an important part in keeping millions of Australians connected. As you’d expect, plenty of mail comes through our Post Offices and delivery facilities every day – and our mail sorting teams make sure every delivery gets where it needs to.

Role details:

• Roster, Monday – Friday, 5 am – 12.51 pm
• Hourly rate $29.74 (Junior rates apply under 21’s during training)
• + Air-Conditioning subsidy
• + District Allowance up to $7,850
• + 5 weeks annual leave

You’ll be: 

• Able to cancel that gym membership in this highly physical role!

• On your feet each shift as you manually breaking down and sort mail / parcels (product can weigh up to 22kg)

•  Distributing mail into relevant PO Boxes
• Assisting and/or performing administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance

About you

You’re friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love the balance of working in a team environment and autonomously. You’re motivated by the opportunity to help make a difference to your community. You’ll also need to:

• Be fit to lift up to 22kgs of product regularly and stand for your shift

• Call upon your memory and hand-eye coordination while sorting
• If you have a Forklift license, that would be an added advantage so let us know!
