About the opportunity  

As our Senior Retail Postage Sorter, you’ll play an important part in keeping millions of Australians connected. As you’d expect, plenty of mail comes through our Post Offices and delivery facilities every day – and our mail sorting teams make sure every delivery gets where it needs to.

The purpose of the role is to professionally assist in the management of operations in our postal outlet, developing the skills and expertise of the box sorting team members and assisting with managing the box sorting area within the post office outlet including end of month activities.

Role Details

  • Permanent Full Time  Monday to Friday 8:45am – 5:06pm opportunity on offer
  • 5 weeks annual leave + air-conditioning subsidy
  • District Allowance with dependents $11,540
  • District Allowance without dependents $7,140

You’ll be

  • Effectively supervise a small team of staff in the delivery of mail into PO Boxes, Parcel Lockers & Locked Bags located at a Retail outlet to Express Post, Registered Post, site specific facilities and unaddressed mail in accordance with serviced standards.
  • Ensure efficient and accurate processing of Reply Paid articles, Mail Redirections and completion of Mail2Day
  • Assist in the implementation and acceptance of change within the workplace and in maintaining staff engagement and commitment to customer service.
  • Responsible for induction and training of staff members in box sorting roles and in promoting awareness and compliance to relevant Australia Post policies and Culture Pillars.
