Kullarri Regional Communities Indigenous Corporation (KRCIC) is a Not-for-Profit organisation working to “Create positive and sustainable futures for Aboriginal people and communities in the Kullarri Region”.

KRCIC is an Indigenous owned organisation established in 2003 which works with Aboriginal and remote residents to gain employment, enhance work skills, provide appropriate training to obtain employment, create economic development and community self-managed enterprises, and works with community to support the overall wellbeing and improvement of people’s lives in the remote Kullarri region. KRCIC delivers the CDP Program along with the Youth & Family Engagement Program within the Kullarri Region and is the sole service provider in the Kimberley for the ParentsNext and Transition to Work (TtW) programs, based in Broome.

Immediate Response Night Space Program (IRNS)

The Immediate Response Night Space Program (IRNS) is a is a pilot initiative of the Kimberley Juvenile Justice Strategy Collaborative Design Project.

The IRNS will be a culturally secure, trauma informed space to ensure young people who are street-present at night in Broome have a safe space to go to. It will be a time-limited space that will provide immediate triage services to connect the young person with a responsible adult. This IRNS will help alleviate pressure from local Police, while utilising local community knowledge and contacts.

The IRNS will provide an appropriate safe space that supports the immediate needs of street-present young people. IRNS outreach services will operate to connect young people with a responsible adult and ensure young people and their families are supported through follow-up daytime services.

The IRNS Youth Support Mentor is a frontline role supporting street-present young people to access a safe space and provide immediate triage services to connect the young person with a responsible adult.
