Assistant Sales Manager

We are proud to be the local Weber Specialist and Elgas Dealer, as well as an established Plumbing and Gas service provider. Our wide range of services makes for roles that offer variety, engaging with large national companies, all the while working for a small locally owned and operated business.

We are looking for someone who will help us to continue to provide exceptional customer service to those that visit us in store as well as enquire over the phone.

The ideal applicant would be outgoing, confident, willing to learn and is looking for a position with growth in a fun team environment.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

– Greet customers as they enter the store, assist them with their enquiries and provide friendly, helpful service
– Manage incoming customer inquiries via phone, email, or social media platforms
– Provide product information and technical assistance to customers
– Maintain accurate and updated customer records
– Handle and resolve customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner
– Assist in the development of customer service standards and protocols
– Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction
– Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance the overall customer experience
– Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, industry trends, and best practices in customer service
– Work effectively in your role to maintain supportive, cooperative and positive relationships within the team and other external bodies.
– Some outdoor work including, filling LPG gas bottles, unloading stock etc

Skills, Experience:

• Previous experience in a sales management and / or retail role
• Knowledge of inventory systems or an ability to learn to use them
• Ability to lead a team, be organised and meet time deadlines.
• Well develop ability to communicate and maintain effective and positive relationships with other staff and customers
• Ability and willingness to set and maintain a high standard of safety compliance.
• Experience in reconciling POS software and EFTPOS settlement
• Ability to multitask whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail

Qualifications

• Possession of current “C” Class drivers licence
• Possession of a Forklift Ticket – not required, but beneficial
