Wunan Foundation is a leading Aboriginal development organisation based in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Its purpose is to ensure that Aboriginal people enjoy the capabilities and opportunities necessary to make positive choices that lead to independent, fulfilling lives.

 

To achieve this, Wunan has developed five strategic priority area: Leadership, Education, Employment, Housing and Health, with this role focused on Education, Housing and Employment programs.

 

We are seeking an Administration Receptionist to assist day-to-day operational activities of the organisation.

 

Key Duties

  • Provides administrative and clerical support to Wunan support services.
  • Handles scheduling and prioritise daily appointments, meetings, and invitations.
  • Make photocopies, scan documents, send and e-mails, and performs other routine office duties.
  • Helps to organise internal and external meetings and teleconferences.
  • Answering of phones and distribution of calls and messages

Requirements of the role:

  • Proven experience as an office administrator, office assistant or relevant role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.

Desirable criteria:

  • Previous experience as a Secretary Administrative Assistant and familiarity within our industry.
  • A strong understanding of Indigenous people in general, and of Indigenous people and communities in the East Kimberley in particular

Pre-employment requirements:

☒ Satisfactory Criminal History Check (not older than 6 months)

☒ Current Working with children clearance

☒ Current Australian unrestricted ‘C’ class Driver’s license
