Service Person

Piacentini and Son are seeking an experienced Service Person to join the Argyle closure team!

Partnering with Rio Tinto, Piacentini & Son are currently undertaking the land re-profiling and revegetation works to close this iconic mine and restore the land for its Traditional Owners.

Argyle produced its last diamonds in 2020, since then Piacentini have made significant progress into the rehabilitation process with areas profiled, seeded and vegetation growth exceeding expectations. There is still more to achieve over the next coming years, and we need a skilled and experienced Service Persons to support the delivery of this once in a lifetime project.

• Permanent, fulltime employment opportunity.

• FIFO or DIDO depending on your location

Key Responsibilities:

• Record quantities of fuel, oils and parts used whilst servicing each machine.
• Monitor and correctly dispose of waste oil, filters and coolant according to correct company guidelines.
• Complete all required service documents accurately and in a timely manner.
• Achieve efficient work practices whilst maintaining minimal machine downtime.
• Assist tradesperson’s when all servicing duties are complete.
• Complete all maintenance records as per company requirements.
• A proven commitment to and compliance with site safety standards.

Requirements:

• Basic mechanical knowledge with a strong interest in the mechanical trade.
• Ability to communicate information efficiently and effectively.
• Ability to prioritise work commitments and meet deadlines.
• Flexible and versatile attitude with a proactive approach to completing work of a high standard
• Experienced with CAT 769C & MAC 8×4 Service Trucks.
• Well developed communication skills (verbal and written).
• Willing and capable to be trained on-the-job.
• Ability to work productively both in a team and on your own
• Applicants must be able to pass fitness for work testing
• Current valid Western Australian driver’s licence
• Previous experience in/exposure to similar mine site environment would be advantageous
